An Introduction Pt 2: A cast of characters

Before we begin, humble reader, allow me to introduce our cast of characters who will perform and dance for your amusement, sorrow and horror:

Personis Dramatae

Xoannon: My humble self, the main protagonist of these dramas, a naive traveller through the realms of intelligensia and one who should perhaps have thought things out a lot better.

Professor Vague: Xoannon's esteemed supervisor. His mind changes like the weather. He has absolutely no idea what in fact Xoannon actually does.

Dr Useful: Xoannon's secondary supervisor. She rocks & largely understands Xoannon's frustrations in dealing with Professor Vague. Unfortunately, she won't back Xoannon up in Professor Vague's presence.

Lady B: A PhD student who shares Xoannon's study space. Xoannon and her conspire to launch a major nuclear assault on their department's increasingly useless administrative team.

Lady T: Another PhD student who share's Xoannon's study space. Remarkably charismatic and young, she makes friends with everyone readily and is amused by why Xoannon dislikes so many of his co-workers.

The Mathematicians: An obscure group who advise Xoannon from somewhere on the other side of the country. Xoannon likes them a lot more than his supervisors, not least because his supervisors don't have a clue what they are talking about.
